The kids and the waterslide at P&A's

Griff on the slide getting ready to go. He's almost too big for it!

The kids climbing up the slide. Griff helped Kaja and Jaxon get up sometimes.

Griff at the bottom...

Griffin looking to make sure Kaja is looking at the camera. He thinks cuz he's six, he's in charge. These kids do play really well together 99.9% of the time!

Live from Soccer! Go Griff!

As you can see, Griff's uniform color is yellow. His team name is the Lemon Squirts. Not AF United, not Rangers, not Real AF, not even the Kickers...the Lemon Squirts. *pause* This is an ALL boys team. I guess you can tell they have a woman coach...anyway...

Griff played in goal for most of the 2nd half and I think he might have found his soccer calling. I know I'm his dad and I'm a bit biased, but he made 3 SPECTACULAR saves! DIVING saves no less! The goal-keeper in the first half let balls just roll right past him without even moving - yes, coaching is an issue with this team. Anyway, he cleared one ball off the line to his left that I thought was a sure goal, but he laid out and snagged it with his left hand fully extended. It was amazing. Didn't change the fact that his team had given up 7 goals in the first half, but they had fun anyway, and Griffin just smiles and enjoys himself through the whole game. Good job Griff!!!

Griff on the ride mowers at Lowe's

The face is because he's making the lawnmower sounds as he's "riding" along. It is my dream to have a ride mower, I'm glad the boy takes after his pops. :-D

Tacos a la Familia

Ben and Chalyce Wilde invited me over for dinner and they made Fish and shrimp tacos. They were SOOOOO good. Their friend Rick made some amazing pico to go with them, Ben grilled the tortillas to get them nice and soft and the fish and shrimp were just lightly fried to give them a very nice taste. Plus the sauce and guac were top notch. I seriously must have had 5 tacos they were so dang good.

I like going out to eat and everything but nothing can compare to home-cooking. Plus with great company (the Wildes have some GREAT friends that are so fun!) it is so much better than eating at a restaurant. Plus you know the kitchen is clean and there aren't any rats running around (well, maybe some naked rug-rats, but not nasty rodents! :-D )

One of these days, I'll have to return the favor, but the Wilde's house and backyard are just perfect for entertaining, and well, I have no backyard, sooooo, might be a little cramped for a dinner party - but the thought is there.

Thanks Ben and Chalyce, you guys can feed me anytime you'd like :-D
