Abandoned Site!
Poor site, hasn't been touched in months. Hmmmm Gotta remember how to automatically upload pics here. I've been putting them all on Facebook and frankly, I'm sick of Facebook except for a few event and business things. SO, I need to get Griff's goings-ons back on here. He's been a busy boy lately with soccer, flag football, school, play - everything an active 8-year old should be doing! And yes, he plays way too much video games (is that right? Much or many???) Either way, he plays too much so we've been going to the park to practice soccer or football and it's been a blast! There is nothing better to me and I actually get to feel like a dad.
Anyway, I'll get things figured out and get this place hoppin again! Watch for it!

Blood and kneecaps at 2nd base
**This is NOT for the faint of heart**
When I saw it at the ballpark, my adrenaline immediately kicked in!
The first nurse who saw Griff's knee almost gagged.
When Griff finally saw it, when he was in the ER, he said, Wow. (yep, that was it.)
So, here you go - I call this film, "The First Stitch" Enjoy.

Pinewood Derby!
Griff had his first Pinewood Derby. He was super excited and he built a super cool car.
He learned how to sand (though we didn't do enough, it was still fun and he learned about grit):
How to Spray Paint:
And how to pose with the finished product, I guess?
He Picked the Gold color and the racing stripes. Not sure if you can tell but there are flames over the wheels too.
The line-up (the green and blue wavy one behind Griff's car was the overall winner):
If you blow up this pic, you can see a Storm Trooper Driving the light-blue car - awesome!
Pretty crazy designs!
Griff had a great time watching the races despite the results for his car (the video will explain it):
And here's the video:
One more - the mechanical failure was catastrophic and I take full responsibility as the pit crew Chief.
I'm super proud of Griffin and his desire to win, have fun, and work on his own car, yet his grace in disappointment at losing every race...badly. He showed some good sportsmanship and didn't freak out too badly. We'll get em next year Griff!!! (now that we know what to expect, we'll get Uncle Sean and Uncle Paul to help. hahahaha)
